Here's a clone of the SSL 4000 series mix bus compressor that I built using instructions available online. I purchased the circuit board for this project, but I did the rest of the construction and machining myself.
Here's an eight channel microphone preamp based on the THAT1512 IC chip. I designed the layout for the main board and had it professionally manufactured by ExpressPCB. I built this using the schematic and parts list provided by THAT Corp and power supply circuit boards purchased from Elliott Sound Products.
Here's a 5.0 surround sound microphone that I made in college. It's based on an electret microphone schematic that I built five times and stuffed into a NERF soccer ball.
George Sanger, the "Fatman" of game audio, hired me to make him a custom patch bay for his studio.
This is a game show style "Quiz buzzer" (one of the four buttons are pushed, a light illuminates, a buzzer sounds, and the other buttons are disabled). I am paticularly proud of this project because of how little I utilized any reference material. It represents the first project that I engineered and built on my own.
Here are some high quality speakers I built using the "Modula MTM" design found on many pro audio and home theater forums.
Here is a subwoofer I made with a Madisound driver and 1" thick MDF.
Nick is one of my many satisfied repair customers. He's excited about his replacement phantom power switch.
I made this "sub-kick" type microphone using a speaker, a microphone cable, and a snare stand. It really thumps!
I can build a wide variety of custom audio and video cables.
