Today I had the opportunity to tour the media studio at Cook Children's Hospital in Fort Worth.  What a great setup and talented crew!

We set up some dramatic interview scenes at today's shoot in this school's theater.

I wasn't allowed to photograph the works of art featured in our video shoot today at the Bass House in Fort Worth.  I'm an experienced and confident production sound mixer, but it still makes me just a little bit nervous to operate a boom pole near a $50,000,000 painting.

I had the pleasure of working on this short film with a very talented cast and crew.  Shooting at the DFW airport presented some interesting sound challenges.  One of which was that the ceiling speakers pumping smooth jazz into the baggage claim area we were shooting in would not be turned off.  To solve this I stacked blankets and jackets on C stands and gently stuffed them against the ceiling speakers.  This turned out to be surprisingly effective!

An early call and a great view of the Dallas skyline makes for a dramatic backdrop on my shoot today.

I had no idea that wiffleball is and up and coming sport with competitive leagues.  We're getting coverage of some of the games happening at the Texas Ranger's stadium today.
