The Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra performed classic movie scores at an FC Dallas soccer game next to pyrotechnics and a dramatic drone show overhead!  I was hired to provide a mixer, mics, and stands to capture the magic and send it out to the audience on the stadiums massive speakers.  I used different mic techniques than what is typically done in a traditional orchestral concert hall.  Because of the position of the orchestra and the way some of the speakers were pointed at their position necessitated the use of a larger number of microphones with tighter pickup patterns that were positioned much closer than what they would be in a concert hall.  The wind  during the show and the thunderstorm that showed up while loading out did not make this job easier, but we got it done!

Today's shoot was for an accident injury law firm and included some shots at a junkyard where we got to shoot a car getting crushed!

Business guru and YouTube sensation Codie Sanchez made a video on the streets of Austin Texas today, and I had the honor of being hired to record sound for it!  I've been doing this for a long time, and I meet celebrities occasionally and I don't usually get star struck, but I'm actually a fan of Codie's and it was really cool getting to work with her.  She gave me an autographed copy of her new book "Main Street Millionaire"!

My crew is set up, ready, and eagerly awaiting the arrival of Patrick Mahomes who we will be recording reacting to classic football movie moments including "Friday Night Lights", "Little Giants", and "Remember The Titans".

With the addition of a Rodcaster Pro 2 and ElectroVoice RE20 microphones in my studio, I'm poised to take the podcast world by storm!  ... The new rug is pretty cool too.
