It's all about timing.

Tentacle Sync released their new E model time code sync boxes and I purchased a pair!

I'd been wanting a pair of Tentacle Sync boxes, but previous models would only let you adjust time code frame rate with an iPhone or computer.  (I'd heard about an option being developed that utilized the USB port on android phones, but it seemed to me like it wasn't 100% reliable on all phones.) As a dedicated Android user, this didn't work well for me.  The new E model features Bluetooth connectivity which not only allows Android users to connect and make adjustments, but also do it remotely!

DP's appreciate these as well as they are substantially lighter and smaller than other time code "lock boxes".  With how modular many modern cameras are and how many different things are strapped and bolted to them, these Tentacle Sync E's add a much needed function without getting in the way or weighing down the camera rig.

Goodyear stands for being rugged and durable.  We shot a video for them in this warehouse which included a vintage industrial strength iron-wheeled push cart which I quickly adopted as my audio cart.

I made a Black Friday purchase from B&H and am now the proud owner of an Orca OR-41 audio bag and an OR-40 harness.  Hopefully the OR-41's aluminum frame will protect my gear and the OR-40 will protect my back!

Normally jack hammers and vacuum cleaners are the bane of a sound mixer's existence and we do everything we can to avoid them.  This has been a strange but exciting week for me deliberately recording the sounds of power tools for Hilti.

Our poor little dog Lyra got spayed this week.  After a few long days of rest she's shaken off the sedatives and is alert, moving around, and feeling a little better.

Being a dog and having the cone on her head technically makes her one of the most high fidelity and sensitive parabolic microphones ever!  She hears frequencies up to 46,000Hz!
